Transition Programmes

Our school works closely with our local kindergarten which is located on site. Students from both sites work together on a weekly basis and also share assemblies. Transition with Kindergarten students is a progressive transition through Term 4.

Penola High School is our local High School. Year 5-7 students visit the high school a number of times during the year before the official transition process begins for Year 7 students in Term 4.

Camps & Excursions

Being a small school we pride ourselves on providing opportunities for our students to experience our wider community. All students participate in swimming lessons in term 1 as well as at least one excursion each term. Each year students get the opportunity to take part in a whole school camp. In recent years students have attended camps to Robe, Warrnambool, Naracoorte and the Grampians.

Sports

We have our own Sports Day here at school every year, where our two sports teams Lowan and Koorine compete. Kalangadoo is also part of the Pines Small Schools Sports Day with Nangwarry, Glencoe and Mount Burr. Our senior students take part in SAPSASA sports as well as the Millicent Gala Day (Netball and Football).
